This anthem is grounded in one of the spiritual centers of Paul’s theology found throughout his many letters and other epistles that are attributed to him. It is in our weakness and brokenness where we are most human, and where God can most profoundly break into our lives; it is from this basic tenet of human spirituality that we can truly grow “in Christ.” This piece is a proclamation; full instrumental forces should be called upon, while the singers need to bring their deepest conviction of faith. Let it all fly!

Horn in F can be substituted for Trombone I.
