This bundle includes:
1. A digital PDF of the Teacher Resource Guide from the Teaching Music textbook
2. An mp3 recording of the work

Following the success of They Led My Lord Away, Allen wanted to write a piece of similar texture with comparable technical aspects. He took an early sketch he wrote in 1978 and began to rework the piece. The resulting piece, When the Stars Began to Fall, was completed in 1992, and the first performance was given by the Richland (Texas) High School Band.

The work was recorded at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in December of 1992 by the Duncanville (Texas) High School Band.

The piece is dedicated to Doris Allen, the composer’s mother.
