“Prayer for a New Mother” with text by the inimitable American author and sparkling wit Dorothy Parker is for unison voices, or would make an equally provocative and stunning art song for a solo voice.
“The Birds” with words by the prolific Anglo-French master Hilaire Belloc is worthy of impeccable performance of the highest rank: “When Jesus Christ was four years old, The angels brought him toys of gold…”
