WLP is privileged and pleased to offer the new series Music from the Abbey of Gethsemani. This new series highlights the noteworthy music sung at the monastery, as composed/arranged by Father Chrysogonus Waddell, OCSO, and will bring to life his many years of diligent, masterful writing in the name of the church. These versatile musical offerings are ideal for singing by a cantor with accompaniment or by SATB choir. The first edition in the series, Psalms for the Advent Season, offers all of the responsorial psalms for the Advent Sundays of Years A, B, and C as well as for the feast of the Immaculate Conception. The contemplative style of these settings perfectly evokes the season of Advent and will be a welcome addition to your community‚ worship. Future editions in the series will include responsorial psalms for Lent, Easter, feasts and solemnities, and OT, eventually presenting settings for all of the responsorial psalms from the lectionary for the entire church year.
