Description:

This piece is extracted from Volume 3 of Honey from the Rock, a four-volume series featuring Entrance and Communion Antiphons (most with psalm texts). Stylistically, “Not by Bread Alone” is more classical than the other pieces in the series. Although some would not use additional instrumentation during the Lenten season, the flute, violin and cello parts can lend greater solemnity outside of Lent. Improvisation of the piano part is encouraged. If you like this piece, you’ll want to peruse copies of the entire series
