Missa de Angelis (Mass VIII in the Vatican 1905 edition) has long been a favorite Gregorian Chant setting of the Ordinary of the Mass. While the individual movements date well after the golden age of chant, their familiarity and enduring popularity over the centuries are beyond question, and this Mass setting is still heard in Roman Catholic churches world-wide.
