Marty Haugen’s inspiring text closely follows the words of Christ as it addresses the universe of social concerns for Christians. Jesus offers us a template for how we ought to live our lives.
The tender melody, sung by soloists, is supported and answered by the gentle harmonies sung by the choir. The refrain is easily sung by the assembly with the choir and soloists, and the assembly could manage the verses as well.
A lovely accompaniment with two C instruments, guitar, and keyboard adds to the haunting quality.
