Now a treasury of never-before published compositions by one of the most significant church music composers of the twentieth century is at last unlocked. Richard Proulx (1937–2010), a distinguished organist, conductor, and composer of over 400 published works, left behind a wealth of material written for his weekly work at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago from 1980 until 1994. Together with Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, GIA is pleased to make available select pieces from the Alcuin Library’s Richard Proulx Collection. Freshly recorded revised editions of some of Proulx’s most-loved works will be included, making this a must-have series with each new release.
