This gathering hymn is built around Matthew 11:28, “Come to me all you who are weary,” and Matthew 18:20, “Where two or three are gathered...” The unison refrain for assembly has a choral descant, and the verses all follow the attractive pattern of four measures of cantor solo over choral accompaniment, followed by four measures of full choir.
