Fantasy on the Plainchant
Item #: G-6869
This companion piece to “Gaudeamus” by Richard Proulx is based on the final dismissal of the Roman Catholic liturgy, “Thanks be to God.” The opening fanfare features a brilliant, energetic dialogue between organ and brass, driving toward a sonorous and majestic section. Finally, the brass and organ come together in a joyful dance, culminating in festive grandeur.
