The Chicago Symphony Brass & Alumni presents Giovanni Gabrieli Giovanni Gabrieli spent his early career in Bavaria working under the supreme master of Renaissance polyphony, Orlando di Lasso. Gabrieli's composition serviced political and religious events at St. Mark's Cathedral. The Basilica is known for placing distinct choruses in separate locations around the altar.
