Lundy, Patrick

Patrick P. Lundy is a highly sought-after accompanist, director, composer, arranger and clinician who hails from Thomasville, Georgia.

In 1985, Patrick relocated to Washington, D.C., and matriculated at Howard University, earning a degree in Music Business with a concentration in Management and Voice. While at Howard University, Patrick assisted the renowned Dr. J. Weldon Norris with the Howard University Choir and served as Assistant Director of the Howard Gospel Choir under the direction of the unparalleled Arphelius Paul Gatling, III. Currently, Patrick is serving as Director of Fine Arts at Reid Temple A.M.E. Church in Glenn Dale, Maryland where Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington is Senior Pastor.

In 1994, Lundy founded the Ministers of Music. Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music, have appeared with a host of national artists. On January 18, 2009, the choir participated in the Presidential Inaugural “We Are One” concert, performing with Springsteen and Beyonce.´ The choir also participated in the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball, accompanying Mariah Carey and Shakira. Annually, he works with Dr. Joyce Garrett in training and conducting youth and adult choirs for the nationally taped TV specials, The Kennedy Center Honors and Christmas in Washington.

Artists such as Rev. Milton Biggham and Bishop Paul S. Morton have recorded several of his compositions.
