Kevin Stewart is the Minister of Music and Senior Adults at First Baptist Church, in Lamar, Missouri. He has served there since 2001. For 19 years before coming to Missouri, Kevin served churches in Oklahoma. He has been involved with handbells off and on during those years.

Kevin is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with degrees in Music Education and Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. After 10 years of teaching, coaching, and being a school counselor, he felt God directing him into full-time church work.

The urge to compose and arrange bell music began in 2004, as he had a difficult time finding music for one of the choirs at his church in Lamar.

Kevin directs three of the five handbell choirs at the church, which keeps him learning and moving forward in the handbell world.

Kevin lives in Lamar with his wife, Shelly. They have three sons: Nathan (20) and Michael (18) who are both attending college and Adam (14) who has just begun high school.
