Howard, Juliana

Juliana Howard currently resides in St. Joseph, MN, where she is a Benedictine Oblate and volunteer at St. Benedict’s Monastery, member of Cultural Bridges and Benedictines for Peace and Justice, caregiver for her husband, and poet, published by the Collegeville Institute and recently featured in lyricality.org.

She is most known as a composer of children’s liturgical and spiritual music since 1986 with six collections published by World Library Publications. In St. Cloud, MN, she has been the director of the Crayons (a children’s performing and recording group) and a liturgy coordinator at Sts. Peter, Paul and Michael Middle School. One of her proudest achievements is the creation of 150 Psalms for Singing, based on Psalms for Praying by Nan C. Merrill.
