Marcheschi, Graziano

Graziano Marcheschi, M.A. D.Min. Graziano has an M.A. in Theatre from the University of Minnesota, an M.Div. from Loyola University Chicago, and a D.Min. fron the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary. Director of Lay Ecclesial Ministry Formation for the Chicago Archdiocese, he is the founder and director of the Anawim Players, a national performing arts company; a former Advisor to Subcommittee on Lay Ecclesial Ministry of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and member of the Board of Directors of the National Association for Lay Ministry, he speaks frequently at national gatherings on ministry and catechesis. Graziano has authored five volumes of Workbook for Lectors and Gospel Readers, including the 2010 edition, and Scripture at Weddings (LTP). He created and authored the monthly newsletter, Lector (NCR Publishing). Other publications include a collection of stories and poetry, Wheat & Weeds and the Wolf of Gubbio, and was a major contributor to The Catholic Bible, Personal Study Edition (Oxford University Press), Audios/Videos include The Word Well Spoken: Skills for the Lector (St. Anthony Messenger Press)and Come& See: Living Lessons from the Gospel of John (ACTA Publications). With Nancy, his wife, Graziano leads prayer through the performing arts at conferences and prayer gatherings locally and nationally. They presented a major performance-prayer event in Phoenix, AZ during the 1987 pastoral visit of Pope John Paul II. Graziano hosts a local cable-TV program entitled, The Church, the Cardinal and You and often co-hosts the Archdiocesan morning radio program, Catholic Community of Faith.
