Thedford, Dello

Teacher, arranger, noted composer, and conductor extraordinaire, Dello Thedford currently serves as Minister of Music at Shalom Church, City of Peace. He previously served as Minister of Music at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond Heights, Missouri, Minister of liturgy and worship at St. James AME Church in Stylus, Missouri. And as Minister of Music at the Mount Zion Baptist church in St. Louis Illinois for twenty-two years. He is an employee of the St. Louis Public School system where he serves as Artistic Director at Central Visual and Performing Arts high School. He has to his credit positions as Adjunct Professor of Music for the University of Missouri in St Louis, Vocal coach for the Theater Program of Southern Illinois University, East St. Louis campus, Music Director of the Personna Players and Chairman of the Music Department at Roosevelt High School. His students are known throughout the area for their magnificent performances and for winning high marks in the State High School Music Competitions.

He has introduced some of the most meaningful experiences in Christian music, including his CD recordings, Symphony of Praise, I Know it was the Blood and his most recent recording, Command Performance. His recordings feature the 100 voices strong Gospel Symphonic Choir, and are winning great acclaim throughout the nation.
