Lupo, David E.

David Lupo has lived most of his life in South Carolina with the exception of the years he was studying or working at Duke University, where he earned the Bachelor of Science and Master of Divinity degrees.

David's training in music began with piano lessons in second grade and continued with organ during high school and college. His first introduction to handbells was in the 1980s when he was appointed as associate pastor at a church that had a handbell choir.

Since 2009, David has been ringing in the bell choir at Hibben United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. When he fully retired from his two careers as a software developer and a United Methodist pastor, he was able to extend his involvement with handbells beyond ringing to include composing and arranging.

David is a member of Handbell Musicians of America and The Fellowship of Worship Artists.
