Composer: Sven-David Sandström

Voicing: SSAATTBB
Intrumentation: None

Sandström's gift for creating unique soundscapes and tonalities comes through in his setting of the Latin "Agnus Dei" text. Sustained vocal lines slowly rise and fall through each phrase, reaching a climax of dissonance, and seem to illustrate the desparation of the Lamb of God as he fulfilled the prophecy set out for his life.

Language: Latin
Choral Series: Hansen
Walton Number: WH201
