The Mass of St. Augustine

From the Church of Saints Paul and Augustine in Northwest Washington, DC, comes to the incredible talent of Leon C. Roberts, composer and the parish's choir director. Leon is that combination of a schooled musician with strong roots in the black gospel tradition, resulting in a gospel mass that is not only a stunning work, but is accessible to choirs and musicians everywhere. Accurately and fully notated, the score will enable the performance of this work or parts of the work even by choirs with no previous gospel music experience.

The mass is a complete liturgy using the ICET texts along with the moving and stirring opening and closing songs, "Thank You, Lord" and "He Has the Power" and the quiet and meditative communion thanksgiving, "Remember Me."
