Cherry Tree Carol, The
Text Author : Traditional English
Arranger : Anthony Giamanco
This arrangement brings in a familiar 14th-century German carol, “Joseph dearest, Joseph mild,” to complete this setting, which sings of the role of St. Joseph in the birth of Christ. The freely gentle feel is enhanced by a classical guitarlike or harplike arpeggiated accompaniment. Good two-part writing, but could be sung in unison with satisfying effect.
