The Inner Game of
Music Workbooks for band,
orchestra, and small ensembles
For youth, high school, college, and community
ensembles of all shapes and sizes!
Each series (band, orchestra, and small ensembles) contains approximately 25 easy-to-learn exercises-just 8 to 24 measures long-using music drawn from the standard repertoire.
The music is all that players see in their part books-only the conductors score contains instructions about each excerpt. The ensemble plays the piece once through normally, and then a second time after receiving the Inner Game instruction from the conductor. What a difference the second time around!
You will find it helpful to use these exercises: at the beginning of the year; to work on specific problems with music currently in rehearsal; right before a concert or competition when your players may feel under pressure; or as a refresher throughout the year.
A virtually unending source of examples to practice the Inner Game skills of Awareness, Will, and Trust.
