Mary Louise Bringle
A collection of 75 new hymn texts by an emerging author. A historical theologian and college professor, Mary Louise Bringle began writing hymn texts in 1998, and has since won several hymn-writing contests. Her texts are expansive and filled with rich imagery and content. In her own words: "I am concerned to give voice to the passions that dwell at the deep heart of faith and questioning." The author's interest in authenticity of religious expression, feminist theology, and environmental matters is evident in a number of her texts, and provides a fresh voice for the Church's praise.
Texts are printed poetically and interlined with a tune (many original ones) on the facing page.
