David, though part of a Mennonite congregation, I've been blessed especially by your "Blest Are They" for years before it became part of our denomination's hymnal. (Suspensions are among my musical favorites!) The haunting beauty of your song provides a worship experience whether I'm singing or listening. THANK YOU so much for this gift - and your other compositions that help bring us to God.

Congrats, David! A timeless, enjoyable to sing, enjoyable to play song. It has something to say to just about everyone. It'll be around for a long time to come.
Kevin Brown , Music Minister - St. John the Baptist, Lockport NY | 11-26-2014
Hi, David! Congratulations! The first time I heard this song was while serving as Music Minister at St. Pius X in Appleton, WI in 1986. It was the cornerstone piece for the dramatic presentation called aptly enough "The Beatitudes" with Jeannine Goggin (St. Margaret Mary Parish, Neenah, WI) at the theatrical helm. I have enjoyed sharing your music for many years in many places of worship, including Protestant faith communities. Your ministry is truly inspired! Thank you for all you have done to help form, nurture, and build the faith of so many!
Kathy Burke , Music Minister - St. Matthew the Apostle Parish, Randolph, NJ | 11-25-2014
Congratulations on the 30th anniversary of your having composed one of a very select number of hymns which can genuinely be called timeless. For generations after we have departed our earthly homes, "Blest Are They" will be sung, building in beauty and intensity with each refrain. I tip my hat to you.
Tom Campbell , Parish Musician - St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Amarillo | 11-22-2014
This is one of my favorite songs. For many years, my choir had sung it a certain way. We worked hard and practiced to sing it as it was originally arranged in the octavo. After Mass one Sunday, the Deacon wondered what song we sung for communion, and was surprised that it was this familiar one, just heard differently with all the parts built up verse-by-verse. Just a beautiful piece.
Joselito Castro , Choir Director - St. Dorothy, Glendora, CA | 11-21-2014
