The Maracas*

Rattle-type instruments can be found in many forms in almost every culture dating to antiquity. Modern maracas are closely derived from Native North American rattles and have become an essential element of Latin American popular music. They are almost always played in pairs.

To Play the Maracas:   A.      Hold the maracas at chest level and sharply flick your wrist downward.
