Judy Thompson currently serves as Music Education Specialist, Grades 1-6, and Children's Choir Director at Child of Christ Lutheran School, Hartland, MI. She specializes in pitch exploration, pitch matching and vocal technique for Early Childhood children. Her published materials, "The Sound Concept: Preparing the Young Voice for Singing" (GIA) provides demonstration, instruction, and ready-to-use materials for anyone who works with young children and their vocal development.
Judy has twenty years experience in elementary education, music education, and choral directing at many levels. She has presented seminars on the university level, to regional and national music conventions. Judy has authored numerous music education articles for periodicals. Her most recent publication is a four session intensive course on developing children's choirs for church musicians. Judy holds a B.A. in Elementary Education with a music major, extensive graduate work in Music Education, and is certified in the state of Michigan to teach Music Education K-12.
