Bob Moore is a composer with a multifaceted résumé. To date he has published nearly 200 choral and instrumental works, many of which have been recorded on six CDs and appear in various hymnals. He was a resident composer in the Faith Partners Program, sponsored by the American Composers Forum, and has received numerous commissions from various churches and performers.
In addition to sacred music, his catalog contains art songs and compositions for solo piano and for chamber ensembles. For 20 years he served as the Director of Liturgical Music at San Jose Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where he developed an exceptional music ministry. Currently, he is the Director of Music Ministry at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine (FL).
He has served as music director for the Amelia Island Chorale, has taught band and chorus, and has maintained a healthy studio of private students. As a pianist, he performs jazz and experimental music regularly with percussionist Tony Steve, and, he is the principal trumpet of the St. Augustine Community Orchestra.
Bob studied composition with Richard Proulx, William Schirmer, Gordon Goodwin, and Bud Udell at the University of South Carolina, Jacksonville University (BM, 1990), and the University of Florida.

This workshop examines the diversity of liturgical music styles,
both contemporary and historic, and explores how the parish music
leadership can better serve the entire community by keeping an open
mind when choosing repertoire.

in service of the liturgical assembly.

as well as an artist, serving the parish community.
Separating the Wheat from the Chaff
Repertoire session tailored to the needs of the workshop sponsor,
with emphasis placed on determining the musical/liturgical/pastoral
quality of selected liturgical compositions.
