Jewel Taylor Thompson
Jewel Taylor Thompson received her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State University; and her Master of Arts and Ph.D from Eastman School of Music. She is an associate professor at Hunter College/CUNY, where she teaches music theory and solfege. She is also minister of music at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York, where she directs three choral ensembles and serves as part-time organist.
