SINGING OUR FAITH, SINGING OUR THEOLOGY - Sacred Music

The music sung by a worshiping community both expresses and shapes its theology—what its members believe about God. A community’s songs also express and shape its beliefs about the Church, the human race, and the created universe. A congregation’s songs and hymns serve as its theology textbook, and for that reason they should be chosen with great care. This presentation will include the examination of texts and the singing of music for the liturgy.
