Barbara Conable is teacher, trainer, writer, prize-winning poet, grandmother, gardener, and cook, living in Portland, Oregon.

She is founder and president of Andover Educators, a network of musicians saving, securing, and enhancing musical careers with accurate information about the body in movement.

Barbara is a teaching member of the North American Society of the Teachers of the Alexander Technique and of Alexander Technique International.

Barbara is also the author of the highly acclaimed How to Learn the Alexander Technique: A Manual for Students and of What Every Musician Needs to Know about the Body: The Practical Application of Body Mapping to Making Music.

Barbara continues to train Andover Educators, write books, and develop the theory and practice of Body Mapping in Portland, Oregon.
