Carl Johengen
A respected church musician, Carl served for three years as Diocesan Director of Music for the Diocese of Syracuse, presenting workshops, clinics, training programs, and retreats for musicians throughout Central, Northern, and Western New York.
Currently, Carl is Assistant Professor of Voice at the Crane School of Music (State University of New York College at Potsdam). Carl holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Ithaca College and a doctorate from the Eastman School of Music. In May 1998, he was awarded Eastman's prestigious Performer's Certificate.
A tenor, Carl has appeared in numerous venues across the east coast. His artistry has received notice in a number of national and international singing competitions.
Carl is available to offer custom workshops, concerts, or other programs at both local parish and diocesan levels.
